Prior to switching to InPlace Software, CU Denver Nursing was using a restrictive and outdated system that lacked essential features needed as their programs grew. Things such as reporting customization or managing different placement processes weren’t possible. These limitations created data loss risks, administrative bottlenecks, and hindered the college’s ability to handle increasing student numbers. Essential reporting and compliance management became overly time-consuming, obstructing scalability and compliance effectiveness.
CU Nursing is the top-ranked BS in Nursing program in Colorado. As the birthplace of the nurse practitioner program, CU Nursing boasts a reputation as a leader and pioneer in nursing education. The college offers a full spectrum of programs (BS, MS, DNP, PhD) with in-person, online, and hybrid options, all accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

This bottleneck limited CU Nursing’s ability to manage student placements at scale efficiently and constrained the growth potential of both undergraduate and graduate programs.
