The tender process identified that best value is derived from a University–wide approach that handles Allocate and Apply Placement Management models in a single solution to support Institution level Placement Management. InPlace by Quantum IT was identified as the best solution in the market capable of delivering such functionality, as well as the only bidder able to provide industry leading experience and knowledge of Placement Management and Work Integrated Learning.
University of Southampton and Quantum IT are now underway with the deployment phase which includes process analysis workshops and systems integration. Enterprise rollout throughout all degrees offering industry experience in the University has begun with Humanities and Study Abroad Disciplines utilising the InPlace Opportunities Job Board and Self Placement functionality. Health and National Health Service (NHS) related Placements will be deployed phase 2 leveraging the powerful InPlace Matching Engine for allocating Students to Placements amongst other features. The Careers and Employability teams within the University will utilise extensive functionality offered to provide all aspects of Student Placements and Work Integrated Learning including the Insight survey and assessments for analytical insights into student performance and employability outcomes.
