Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, York St John University and Leeds University are all users of InPlace, which provided the platform for the region to transform how they have managed placements, becoming a successful and efficient operation.
The presentation is very interesting and is a must see for those in the industry.
Prof. Ieuan Ellis provides insights on how the UK university model was forced to change after increasing government control and regulation, in particular the scope of the National Health Service. How this led to initiatives and focus on providing students with degree that centred on graduate employability and integration with the workforce, with the changing and challenging government environment that now required extra transparency and publication of placement information.
InPlace played the key role in this adaption to a new environment, meeting many outcomes and aims out of the box directly after implementation and most importantly providing the structure for effective management and the functionality to make this a workable solution by saving considerable time whilst undertaking a much greater workload.
