The annual User Conference (previously bi annual) is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and brings together work integrated learning professionals from all study disciplines across Australia.
The event promotes best practice in work integrated learning placements through best use of the InPlace product to help higher education institutes achieve their work integrated learning goals. The sessions are curated for collaborative insights and feedback from all stakeholders across a range of different areas and initiatives within the institutes.
Day 1 saw discipline specific / project breakout groups and functional and industry based sessions, followed by product based session which covered the roadmap and future enhancements, before breaking for a QuantumIT hosted drinks at the head office in Carlton and dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 2 got underway with a business intelligence and analytics demonstration using data extracted directly out of InPlace, providing valuable insights providing strategic management capabilities, before delving into discipline specific and functional based sessions. After lunch there was a highly entertaining open panel based session hosted by the InPlace team, whereby topics submitted over the course of the conference were responded to in a format making for a collaborative afternoon and fitting close to a highly productive two days.
Thanks to everyone for attending, RMIT for hosting and the students for creating the video and collectively improving work integrated learning.
