We warmly welcome our new client, the University of Dundee
The University of Dundee has chosen InPlace by Quantum IT as the software solution to manage student work placements. The institute is greatly esteemed by students, as one of the UK’s highest-rated universities for student experience.
The tender process allowed Dundee to review the market offerings. From this, InPlace was identified as the solution which would deliver what was required. Notably, an off the shelf, configurable and accessible means to manage and support student placements across the full range of discipline areas.
A progressive university reputed for its student experience
The University of Dundee works to transform lives locally and globally through the creation, sharing and application of knowledge. It is a research-intensive university that offers Gold standard teaching and a student experience that is consistently ranked among the best in the United Kingdom.
An international university with a distinctly Scottish identity, it currently has 17,000 students and 3,000 members of staff. Over 145 countries are represented on campus.
However, it’s not just prospective students who are attracted by the city and university. Dundee is the UK’s first UNESCO City of Design, and its vibrant £1billion Waterfront Project is transforming the city and attracting business investment and professionals. In the long-term, this is likely to strengthen links with industry – which can only be positive for workplace learning.
Student experience is a key priority for Dundee. As such over 500 diverse and unique courses are offered across nine schools, with content tailored to meet student demands. Students can select a relevant course from a range of programs; undergraduate, post graduate and short courses.
