InPlace Australian User Group 2017 hosted by Monash University

In early August 2017, 120 Placement Coordinators and InPlace Superusers from all over Australia representing 26 Higher Edu Institutes arrived at Monash College in the Melbourne CBD for a two day conference.

InPlace was deployed at Monash University in 2013, and is utilised university wide in a broad range of schools and disciplines.

The User Group format mixes all-inclusive presentations with breakout workshops to maximise involvement and participation. Standout presentations include 4.0 release overview, feature request session and the Panel.

On Thursday evening the attendees visited the InPlace office for a reception. Followed by a conference dinner at Carlton’s Epocha restaurant which was enjoyed by all. Several attendees noted the positivity and collaboration between the sites as very beneficial with direct productivity gains to be taken from the conference.

Special thanks goes out to the InPlace User Group organising committee from Monash University with assistance from Victoria University. Especially Jennifer Ellis who did a fantastic job compering the event and arranging a very successful conference.

The Australian 2017 User Group was the 8th iteration and second time hosting by Monash University.
