2023 APAC User Group Conference – InPlace Coming Home

The curtains have fallen on the InPlace Coming Home – 2023 APAC User Group Conference, and what an extraordinary two-day odyssey it has been!

This September, our 2023 APAC User Group Conference – InPlace Coming Home, was hosted by La Trobe University at their picturesque Bundoora campus. We were thrilled to return to the campus where the first iteration of InPlace Software launched 14 years ago with a partnership between La Trobe University and QuantumIT.

Day One Highlights:

The conference began with an engaging keynote from our sponsor and host, La Trobe, focusing on project management techniques. Following this, QuantumIT’s CEO, Guthrie White, delivered a powerful address. He expressed gratitude to all customers for their ongoing support and patience throughout the past year. He also thanked the QuantumIT team for their remarkable efforts during our extended journey, particularly over the last three challenging years of the pandemic.

We followed the keynotes with breakout group discussions that brought together professionals from various disciplines, including nursing & midwifery, paramedicine, allied health, medicine, education, social work, business, engineering, the creative arts, and more.

A standout moment was the InPlace Customer Tips, Tricks, and Suggestions segment, featuring eight mini-presentations by InPlace customers on better-managing student placements. TAFE Presentation sessions and other special guest speakers added depth to the day. An Insight Survey and Assessment Tool Q&A session paved the way for the eagerly anticipated InPlace Graduate Recruitment Model.

We concluded the day with an enchanting annual dinner at Hazel Restaurant in Melbourne, providing a relaxed setting for networking and unwinding.

Day Two Insights:

Day two of the APAC User Group Conference was equally engaging, featuring the QIT Roadmap & Improvements, QuantumIT with InPlace Network Integration Q&A, Reporting from InPlace, and additional demo and Q&A sessions.

We also shared the new Request Manager feature and had focused discussion groups for admins, power users, and new users to enhance the interactive experience. The showcase included the Student Accommodation Planner, Opportunities (the InPlace Job Board), InPlace Audit Tool for education standards, placement provider compliance, OH&S, and more. A Logbook demonstration and Q&A session showcased the comprehensive functionality of the InPlace platform.

As we wrap up the 2023 InPlace Coming Home, we reflect on the knowledge we shared, the connections we made, and our mutual commitment to upholding high standards in the student placements field. It has been a true privilege to hear from our customers and gain valuable insights into how we can continue to improve our software and contribute to meaningful student participation in the workforce as they progress from tertiary education to a career.

Thank you to all participants, sponsors, and speakers for contributing to the success of this remarkable event. Stay tuned for the continued journey as we shape the future of student placements together!
